How I work
I believe we are all unique and that we all experience the world and our problems in our own individual ways. As a consequence, the psychotherapeutic journey will be different for each person.
I see it more like a collaborative journey of self-discovery, a deepening of awareness and self understanding that can lead to a wider appreciation of the possibilities that may be present for you.
I describe my modality as person-centred existential, though I may use aspects of other modalities to help illuminate an issue or to support you in your process of discovery. For example, some of my clients have found simple meditation techniques useful in calming the mind, settling anxiety and assisting the body/mind to heal.
Whether you are suffering from stress, childhood issues, anxiety, depression (including post-natal), self esteem issues, grief and loss, LGBTIQ related issues, cultural or migration issues, eating disorders, relationship problems, adoption issues, or existential issues or you simply want to know more about yourself, I would be honoured to accompany and support you on your journey.
My wish is to help you explore your experience of the world and what this means for you. In a gentle, non-judgemental and safe way, we can work together to uncover and clarify thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be getting in the way of you living a more connected and meaningful life.
